What I really love about this image is the smaller details. At first you focus on the huge iceberg. How can you miss it right? But just how big is it?

As you look closer into the image, you start to spot the tiny black shapes of Adelie Penguins peppered across the pristine landscape. Now that adds perspective to what is a spectacularly large chunk of ice!

This iceberg is actually stuck aground in the shallow waters around Cape Adare, along with many other tabular icebergs that can be seen in the distance.
