PRICES

Unless identified otherwise, all products are priced in Australian dollars (AUD). International tours are however payable in the respective local currencies and will be clearly identified as such.. ie US dollars (USD), EURO etc.

All images and product information displayed on this website is shown in good faith as a representation only. Whilst best practices are employed throughout our process, some variances may occur in the printing process, the specifications of print and frame sizes, or in the finishes of the framing materials used.

Kenya Photography Tour

Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form part of the agreement between Wayne Sorensen Photography (“WSP”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and each participant (“you”, “your”) joining a photography tour, workshop, or expedition operated by us in Kenya (“the Tour”).
By booking and paying for your place, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Booking and Payment

  1. A non-refundable deposit of USD $2,500 is required to secure your booking.
  2. Final payment must be paid no later than 90 days prior to the scheduled departure date.
  3. Bookings made after this date must be paid in full at the time of booking.
  4. Payments must be made via bank transfer or approved online payment platform in US dollars (USD). Any bank or transaction fees are your responsibility.
  5. Your place on the Tour is not guaranteed until payment has been received in full.

2. Pricing and Currency

  1. All prices are quoted in US dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.
  2. Prices are based on exchange rates, accommodation rates, and supplier costs as of the date of publication.
  3. We reserve the right to adjust prices if cost increases occur beyond our control (e.g., flight changes, park fees, currency fluctuations, or taxes).

3. Inclusions

The Tour price includes:

  • All accommodation as listed in the official itinerary (based on twin-share unless otherwise stated)
  • All ground transport within Kenya as per the itinerary
  • Services of professional local guides, drivers, and photographic leader Wayne Sorensen
  • Park and conservation area entry fees as specified
  • Meals as indicated in the itinerary (typically breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
  • Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks (unless specified otherwise)
  • Drinking water while on safari or in transit
  • Photography tuition, guidance, and critique sessions

4. Exclusions

The Tour price does not include:

  • International and domestic flights to and from Nairobi, Kenya
  • Visa fees, passport costs, and vaccinations
  • Travel insurance (mandatory – see Section 6)
  • Personal expenses
  • Tips for local guides, drivers, and camp staff
  • Excess baggage charges (where applicable)

5. Accommodation and Rooming

  1. Accommodation is typically provided in high-quality lodges, tented camps, or safari-style accommodations.
  2. Prices are based on twin-share rooms. Single supplements are available at additional cost and subject to availability.
  3. We make every effort to ensure advertised accommodations are used, but we reserve the right to substitute with similar alternatives if required due to availability, safety, or logistical reasons.

6. Travel Insurance (Mandatory)

  1. Comprehensive travel insurance is compulsory for all participants and must be arranged at the time of booking.
  2. You must provide proof of valid insurance prior to departure.
  3. Wayne Sorensen Photography will not accept liability for any participant travelling without appropriate coverage.
  4. Your policy must cover:
  • Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
  • Trip cancellation, curtailment, or interruption
  • Loss or damage of photography equipment and luggage
  • Personal liability

7. Refunds Policy

  1. If you are prevented from travelling and participating in the Tour, you must immediately notify Wayne Sorensen Photography in writing.
  2. Our refund policy reflects the significant planning, resources, and advance arrangements required for the tour, many of which are non-refundable and cannot be recovered once committed.
  3. Depending on the amount of notice before departure, the following cancellation fees apply.
  4. If you cancel your registration more than 6 months prior to the commencement date of the Tour, you are eligible for a full refund of any payments made, minus the non-refundable initial deposit.
  5. If you cancel your registration less than 6 months prior to the commencement date of the Tour, you will not be entitled to any refund.
  6. No refunds are provided for unused services, delayed arrival, or early departure.
  7. You may transfer your booking to another person (subject to approval and any third-party costs).

8. Cancellation or Alteration by Us

a) We reserve the right to cancel, alter, or postpone the Tour due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Insufficient participant numbers
  • Natural disasters, political instability, pandemics, or safety concerns
  • Airline or supplier issues

b) If cancellation occurs, you will be offered:

  • Transfer to another tour or future credit, or
  • A full refund of payments made, less any non-recoverable costs (e.g., deposits paid to suppliers).

c) We are not responsible for additional costs incurred (e.g., flights, insurance, visas).

9. Itinerary Flexibility

  1. Wildlife sightings and photographic opportunities cannot be guaranteed.
  2. Participants acknowledge that no refunds or compensation will be provided for changes to the Workshop itinerary, dates, or accommodations due to circumstances beyond Wayne Sorensen Photography's control. This includes, but is not limited to, changes necessitated by weather, road conditions, wildlife movements, or other uncontrollable factors.
  3. If a Workshop is delayed or the itinerary is altered due to uncontrollable factors, any additional costs incurred as a result of these changes are not included in the original Tour price and will be the responsibility of the participant.
  4. Decisions made by Wayne Sorensen Photography or local guides in the field are final and always prioritise safety and quality of experience.

10. Participant Conduct and Responsibilities

  1. You are expected to behave respectfully toward guides, other guests, and local communities.
  2. You must follow all safety instructions and local regulations, especially regarding wildlife proximity and photography conduct.
  3. You are responsible for your own equipment, including cameras, lenses, and personal belongings.
  4. Any damage caused by negligence or misconduct will be at your expense.
  5. We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or detrimental to others or the environment.

11. Fitness, Health, and Medical

  1. You should be in reasonably good physical and mental health to participate in the Tour.
  2. You must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions that could affect your ability to participate.
  3. Medical facilities in remote safari areas are limited; emergency evacuation insurance is essential.
  4. We reserve the right to decline or remove participants deemed medically unfit or unsafe to continue.

12. Liability and Risk Acknowledgement

a) You acknowledge that travel in Kenya may involve risks including but not limited to:

  • Wildlife encounters
  • Uneven terrain and remote conditions
  • Vehicle travel over rough roads
  • Changes in climate, political, or health conditions

b) You participate voluntarily and assume all risks associated with the Tour.

c) To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wayne Sorensen Photography, its staff, contractors, and agents shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or expense arising from causes beyond our control.
c) Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, negligence, or death caused by our proven negligence.


13. Photography and Image Use

  1. You retain full copyright for images you capture during the Tour.
  2. By joining, you grant Wayne Sorensen Photography the right to use photographs or video taken during the Tour (featuring you) for promotional purposes unless you notify us otherwise in writing prior to departure.
  3. Wayne Sorensen Photography may provide guidance and critique but is not responsible for photographic outcomes.

14. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, strikes, pandemics, terrorism, or government restrictions.

15. Complaints and Disputes

  1. Any complaints should be raised immediately with the tour leader to allow prompt resolution.
  2. If unresolved, a written summary should be provided within 14 days of the Tour’s end.
  3. These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and any disputes shall be resolved under that jurisdiction.

16. Acceptance

By submitting your booking and payment, you confirm that:

  • You have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
  • You acknowledge the inherent risks of travel in remote areas and accept responsibility for your own actions, equipment, and safety.

14. Jurisdiction and governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts exercising jurisdiction in Queensland, Australia.

Svalbard Photography Tour

Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form part of the agreement between Wayne Sorensen Photography (“WSP”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and each participant (“you”, “your”) joining a photography tour, workshop, or expedition operated by us in Svalbard (“the Tour”).

The overall tour / ship operator is WildPhoto Travel AS (WildPhoto). The six guests from the Wayne Sorensen Photography group will make up half of the total number of guests on board the boat. The final number of guests in each party will be determined by the number of bookings for each group, but the total number of guests will be limited to 12 persons (plus guides and crew).

By booking and paying for your place, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Booking and Payment

a) A deposit of EURO 2.500 per person is required to secure your place on the tour (at the time of confirming your booking).

b) The second payment represents 50% of the full tour fee (minus the initial deposit of EURO 2,500) and must be paid at least 9 months prior to the departure date (payments accepted before, but must be received by 14 October 2027).

c) The final payment (balance) must be paid no later than 3 months prior to the departure date (payments accepted before, but must be received by 14 April 2028).

d) Any late bookings made after 14 April 2028 must be paid in full at the time of booking.

e) Payments must be made to Wayne Sorensen Photography via bank transfer or approved online payment platform in EURO. Any bank or transaction fees are your responsibility.

2. Refunds Policy

a) If you are prevented from travelling and participating in the Tour, you must immediately notify Wayne Sorensen Photography in writing.

b) Our refund policy reflects the significant planning, resources, and advance arrangements required for the tour, many of which are non- refundable and cannot be recovered once committed.

c) Depending on the amount of notice before departure, the following cancellation fees apply.

d) If you cancel your registration more than 9 months prior to the commencement date of the Tour, you are only eligible for a refund of any additional payments made over and above the initial deposit fee. The initial deposit EURO 2.500 is non-refundable.

e) If you cancel your registration between 3 months and 9 months prior to the commencement date of the Tour, you are only eligible for a refund of any additional payments made over and above the 50% tour fee. The 50% tour fee is non-refundable.

f) If you cancel your registration less than 3 months prior to the commencement date of the Tour, you will not be entitled to any refund and you will be obligated to pay the remaining amounts as due.

g) No refunds are provided for unused services, non-participation in any activities, delayed arrival, or early departure.

h) You may transfer your booking to another person (subject to approval and any third-party costs).

3. Pricing and Currency

b) Prices are based on exchange rates, accommodation rates, and supplier costs as of the date of publication.

c) The quoted price is based on the 2027 season and may be subject to a small cost increase. We reserve the right to adjust prices if cost increases occur beyond our control (e.g., operator cost increases, currency fluctuations, or taxes).

4. Inclusions

The Tour price includes:

• All accommodation on the boat during the scheduled tour dates (14 - 24 July 2028)

• Ground transport between Longyearbyen (airport or hotel) and the boat (at start and end of trip)

• Services of professional guides, and photographic leader Wayne Sorensen

• Three meals per day, including coffee, tea, water and soft drinks

• All zodiac excursions and landings

• Warm Zodiac suits and knee-high rubber boots

• All service taxes and port fees

• Photography tuition, guidance, and critique sessions

5. Exclusions

The Tour price does not include:

• International and domestic flights to and from Longyearbyen, Norway

• Visa fees, passport costs, and vaccinations

• Travel insurance (mandatory – see Section 6)

• Personal expenses

• Tips for guides and crew

6. Accommodation and Rooming

a) Cabin accommodation is available as twin-share (x3) or single (x6) cabins and are allocated with priority to early bookings.

b) The quoted price is per person, with no additional cost for single passengers.

c) We make every effort to ensure advertised accommodations are used, but we reserve the right to substitute with similar alternatives if required due to availability, safety, or logistical reasons.

7. Travel Insurance (Mandatory)

a) Comprehensive travel insurance is compulsory for all participants and must be arranged at the time of booking.

b) Your insurance should include cruise coverage and extended cover for adventurous activities.

c) You must provide proof of valid insurance prior to departure.

d) Wayne Sorensen Photography will not accept liability for any participant travelling without appropriate coverage.

e) Your policy must cover:

• Medical expenses and emergency medical evacuation (minimum US$250,000 coverage)

• Trip cancellation or interruption

• Loss or damage of photography equipment and luggage

• Personal liability

8. Cancellation or Alteration by Us

a) We reserve the right to cancel, alter, or postpone the Tour due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

• Insufficient participant numbers (less than 50% of available spots)

• logistical problems such as strikes, wars, acts of God, or any other circumstances which may make operation of the trip inadvisable in Wayne Sorensen Photography’s / WildPhoto’s assessment.

b) If cancellation occurs, you will be offered:

• Transfer to another tour or future credit, or

• A full refund of payments made, less any non-recoverable costs (e.g., deposits paid to suppliers).

c) We are not responsible for additional costs incurred (e.g., flights, insurance, visas).

9. Itinerary Flexibility

a) The ship / tour operator (WildPhoto) reserves the right to change programme’s dates, itinerary, or accommodations as conditions warrant.

b) These are trips to remote parts of the world and WildPhoto reserves the right to change the itinerary due to weather and ice conditions, availability of anchorage, political conditions and other factors beyond our control without consulting the participants.

c) It is understood that such decisions will be made in the best interest of all participants on board and with regards to the safety of the vessel. Participants have no right to any refund or other considerations in the event of such changes.

d) If a trip is delayed or the itinerary changed due to bad weather, road conditions, transportation delays, government intervention, sickness, virus outbreak or other contingency for which WildPhoto or its agents cannot make provision, WildPhoto may charge the participants extra for their share of the cost of delays or changes.

e) Wildlife sightings and photographic opportunities cannot be guaranteed.

b) You must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions (including dietry restrictions) that could affect your ability to participate. In some cases, a medical certificate from the treating doctor will be required for participation. Without this certificate, participation in the trip will

not be allowed.

c) The ship / tour operator (WildPhoto) has the right to advise participants on whether the trip is appropriate for the participant.

d) The Expedition Leader (EL) has the right to disqualify any participant prior to departure or at any time during the trip if the leader deems the participant to be physically incapable of completing the trip or if the participant’s continued participation will jeopardise the participant or other participants taking part in the trip.

e) No refund will be paid in the event of disqualification of a participant. By paying the initial payment, the participant certifies that he/she does not have any mental or physical conditions or disabilities that could represent a risk for him/herself, other participants or Wayne Sorensen Photography or WildPhoto’s ability to complete the trip.

12. Limitations of Liability

a) Wayne Sorensen Photography, WildPhoto, its owners, agents and employees act only as agents for the owners, contractors and suppliers providing means of transportation and/or all other related travel services and assume no responsibility whatsoever caused for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from: acts of God, detention, annoyance, delays, expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, force majeure, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, terrorism, government restrictions or regulations and discrepancies or changes in transit or hotel

services over which Wayne Sorensen Photography / WildPhoto has no control.

b) Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made where deemed advisable for the comfort and well-being of the passengers.

c) In case of a medical problem arising during the voyage, either onboard or onshore, which results in costs for evacuation, use of aircraft or repatriation, the responsibility for payment of these costs belongs solely to the passenger.

d) Wayne Sorensen Photography / WildPhoto strongly advises that passengers ensure that such eventualities are covered by travel insurance. If not properly covered by travel insurance the responsibility still remains with the passenger and Wayne Sorensen Photography / WildPhoto specifically decline any responsibility whatsoever.

13. Photography and Image Use
