Kings Creek, Kings Canyon Northern Territory
This creekbed is bone dry for most of the year, but comes to life whenever it rains. The water runs from the top of the canyon through a spectacular waterfall, where it winds its way through a canyon of ghostly white gums.
This image was taken just after a huge rain storm had swept through the region and the sun had just re-emerged. I was set up with my tripod in the middle of the swelled creek, using a slow exposure to create a silky smooth flow of water.
