Kings Creek, Kings Canyon Northern Territory
This creekbed is bone dry for most of the year, but comes to life whenever it rains. The water runs from the top of the canyon through a spectacular waterfall, where it winds its way down the canyon floor through a forest of ghostly white gums.
This image was taken just after a huge rain storm had swept through the region and the sun had just broken through the clouds. I was set up in the middle of the swelled creek rapids using a slow exposure to capture the sensation of moving water.
