Snapper Rocks, Gold Coast
This magnificent wave is one of the most dynamic breaking waves I have ever witnessed. Its' raw power is on full display as the wave separates into a collection of smaller curling breaks, each taking on their own form. With the spray from each curling high into the air, they remind me of horses (seahorses if you will), each racing the other to the shoreline. Hence I couldn't go past the name 'White horses' for this image, particularly as this is also the term for white-crested waves at sea.
