Duomo di Milano (Milan Cathedral), Milan Italy
I had always wanted to photograph this classic cathedral as I had studied its architectural form in art college (plus it’s the largest cathedral in Europe). However, to my disappointment, I arrived on an overcast dreary day and it was overrun by tourists. Fortunately for me somebody set off a firecracker (not me honestly), which created an ‘explosion’ of pigeons. In the blink of any eye the scene before me become a flurry of excitement and transformed into this dynamic image.
